第二輪起處於領先的Dustin Johnson堅持到了最後，最終以3桿領先優勢奪冠，成就個人在世錦賽系列賽的第一座冠軍。

Johnson昨天吞下雙柏忌，5桿優勢縮減為3桿，一開始還打得頗悶，第一洞就吞下柏忌，不過第八、第九洞抓鳥後，優勢也維持住，後9洞也抓下3鳥，又在第十六洞射下老鷹。

他單輪打出66桿，堅持住優勢，力退在後追趕的其他選手，「他們真的給我製造壓力，我對我自己處理這些狀況的方式感到自豪。」

最終Johnson以264桿（-24）成績奪冠，Ian Poulter以3桿之差名列第二，力保杜拜追逐賽參賽席次的Rory McIlroy，以273桿（-15）取得並列第六。

過去在世錦賽系列賽中，Johnson最好的成績是2011年凱迪拉克錦標賽第二名，去年匯豐賽他並列第三十九名，這也是他第8座PGA巡迴賽冠軍。
